We have tried to make our terms and conditions and simple as possible to understand. It is important that you read and agree to them before booking in a repair with us as they will outline what you can expect from us during any sales or service transactions you make.

  1. Definitions

1.1 “Our”, “us” and “we” represent Broken LCD LTD, 1260 Paisley Road West, Glasgow, G52 1DP, Company Number SC428502.

1.2 Customer meaning the person who has booked the repair in.

1.3 Device means any item which is handed in for repair.

  1. Data

2.1 Broken LCD accept no liability for any loss to data on your device which may occur during any repair. It is the customer’s responsibility to back up their data prior to a repair. We do not save data on behalf of customers.

  1. Manufacturer’s Warranty

The customer understands that any manufacturer’s warranty will be void if anyone other than the manufacturer should carry out any work on that item.

  1. Repairs

4.1 Once the customer has given the go ahead for a repair, the repair process begins, under no circumstance can we stop the process. You will be liable to pay the full agreed amount. If you decide to cancel after agreeing to go ahead initially then your device will not be released until the balance has been paid.

4.2 We will not be held responsible for any faults which may arise during repair or any damage which may happen to your device as a result of work being carried out. Many devices will need to be opened to carry out a repair, there will likely be evidence of tampering afterwards.

4.3 We will not be held responsible for any faults which may occur after a repair has been carried out.

  1. Collection

5.1 The customer must collect their device within 14 days of the repair being finished. Failure to do so will result in a £10 storage fee. After a further 60 days all fitted parts will be removed and the item destroyed with no compensation to be given.

  1. Our Records

6.1 It is the customer’s responsibility to check that all details held are correct and up to date. Please check your receipt to see that we have the correct details for you, we will not be held responsible for delays in repairs due to having any incorrect details.

  1. Warranty

7.1 We provide a 90 day warranty on all repairs.

7.2 The warranty covers a fault arising in any repair, which is caused by any part supplied and fitted by us. The part must be in the same condition as when the repair took place, any damage will void the warranty.

7.3 Under no circumstance will any damaged screens be replaced under warranty.

  1. Liability

8.1 Under no circumstances will Broken LCD be held responsible for any loss of income or profit caused by a repair to any device.

8.2 We will not be held responsible for any injury to anyone as a result of any repair carried out. We will not be held responsible for damage to any property as a result of any repair carried out.

  1. Refunds

9.1 Under no circumstances will items be refunded which have been purchased by mistake in store. Faulty items will be refunded once testing has taken place, only if the item is returned in a like new condition.
